Kilka odpowiedzi przed wyjściem

Często zadawane pytania

Where does the Gouda history walk start and finish?
It starts at the Kleiwegbridge and loops back there at the end, so you finish where you began. Along the way it passes Museumhaven, the Barbaratower, City Hall, the Waag, Sint-Jan Church, the Womenstower, the Jewish Gate and the Agnietenchapel, among other stops.
How long does it take and how far do we walk?
Plan on roughly 1.5 hours of walking and puzzle solving over about 3.5 km. Because you set the pace, it can run shorter or longer depending on how long you linger at the churches, the old harbour or the Dutch waffle bakery on the route.
Do we need to book a time, and can we play in the evening?
There is no time slot to book; you start whenever it suits you. The quest is recommended for daytime rather than night, so set off with enough daylight left to cover the route comfortably and take in the places where each puzzle is set.
Can we pause the quest and carry on later?
Yes. You can stop at any point, for lunch, a waffle or a longer look inside a church, and continue later from where you left off. That makes it easy to fit the walk around the rest of a day in Gouda.
Is it suitable for children?
The puzzles are built around real events, legends and historical figures, so it suits older children who enjoy history and can comfortably walk 3.5 km over about 1.5 hours. There is no specific age recommendation, and very young children may find the length and the history-heavy clues hard going.
