Is this a murder mystery scavenger hunt in San Francisco?
Yes, in effect. Your phone leads you between stops in SoMa, tells the story of each place and sets a puzzle in what is in front of you. Along the way you gather clues and question suspects to work out whether Walter, Percy or someone else is behind Bella's death.
How is it different from a murder mystery escape room?
There is no room and no staff. You play outdoors on the streets around Yerba Buena, on your own phones, starting whenever you like. The puzzles use the real sculptures, monuments and buildings on the route, so you do the investigating while walking through the neighbourhood.
Where does it start and how long does it take?
It starts and finishes at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, with stops including SFMOMA, the Admission Day Monument, a John Roloff sculpture and Yerba Buena Gardens. The walk is about 2.3 km and takes around 90 minutes, and you can pause and carry on later.
