Is there a self-guided Chanel tour in Paris?
Yes. This walk follows Coco Chanel through the luxurious side of Paris, played on your phone. The app leads you between 13 places, tells the story of each one and sets a puzzle using what is in front of you. There is no guide and no group to join.
Does the route pass the Chanel building in Paris?
Yes. The walk includes a stroll along Rue Cambon to see Chanel's headquarters, which comes after Maxim's de Paris and Fauré Le Page and just before Place Vendôme. Along the way you also pass Angelina Paris, the Musée des Arts Décoratifs and Le Grand Véfour.
Where does the walk start and finish?
It starts at Le Grand Palais and finishes on Rue de Lille, so it does not end where it began. In between you pass the Fontaine de Diane, Place Vendôme, Place Colette, Le Café Marly and Quai François Mitterrand, covering about 4.8 km.
How long does it take?
Most players take about 2.5 hours, including walking and solving the puzzles. The route is around 4.8 km and is best played during the day. You can pause at any point, for a coffee at one of the cafés on the way, and continue later.
Can we play as a group, and do we need to book a time?
One ticket covers the whole group playing together on the same route. There is no time slot to book: start whenever suits you, since the app guides you step by step, and pause and pick it up again whenever you like.
