Veelgestelde vragen
Is there a detective game with clues to solve around Northampton?
Yes. This is a self-guided detective mystery played on your phone. A whistleblower's information sets you on the trail of The Kingmakers, a secret society said to manipulate world leaders. You solve puzzles hidden in what is in front of you as the app leads you through town.
Where does the game start?
It starts at Point 1, listed in the app as LBC. From there the app guides you from place to place, telling the story of each spot and setting a puzzle before sending you on to the next.
How long does it take and how far is the walk?
Plan for around 90 minutes on foot, covering about 2.3 km. There is no fixed pace, and you can pause the game and pick it up again later if you want to stop for a coffee or split it across two outings.
Is it suitable for children?
The game is aimed at adults and families with teenagers. The story is a conspiracy thriller and the puzzles involve decoding secrets, so it suits older children who enjoy brain teasers more than very young ones.
Do we need to book a time, and can we play as a group?
No booking slot is needed: start any time you like, with no guide and no other group to join. One ticket covers your whole group, up to the number of devices stated. The route is outdoors, so dress for the weather.
