Over deze quest
Forget every ghost story you've heard about this city. This Halloween, ten restless spirits are loose on its streets. 👻 No history book knows their names. No tour guide has heard of them. Most are just lost souls. One is lying to you. 💀
A hooded Oracle needs a ghost hunter. Every spirit is stuck on unfinished business: solve its mystery, catch it, and it gives up a clue. Follow the trail across town, crack ciphers and riddles (some only the street itself can answer), then name the Evil One and destroy it before it finds you. 🕷️
Is dit iets voor jullie?
Voor wie het is
Starting at LBC, this 2.4 km route through Newark sends you after ten restless spirits in around 90 minutes, solving ciphers and riddles, some only the street itself can answer, before naming the Evil One. Friends, couples, families with older kids and escape-room fans who would rather play than listen will enjoy it. Anyone wanting a live guide to question on a fixed-time night walk should pick another option.

Veelgestelde vragen
Is this a guided ghost tour of Newark?
No. It is a self-guided ghost walk played on your phone. The app leads you from place to place, tells each story and sets a puzzle at every stop. There is no guide and no fixed departure, so you start whenever suits you.
Is this a good Halloween activity for teenagers?
It suits teenagers well. They hunt ten restless spirits, solve each one's mystery for a clue, crack ciphers and riddles, some of which only the street itself can answer, and finally name the Evil One. Expect about 90 minutes on foot.
Is it kid friendly?
It works best for families with older kids who enjoy a spooky story and can handle ciphers and riddles. The theme is horror and haunts, so very young or easily frightened children may find it too scary, and the 2.4 km walk takes around 90 minutes.
Is this like a scavenger hunt in New Jersey?
It plays like a puzzle trail. You follow clues across town, read details in what is in front of you to answer riddles, and each solved mystery hands you the next clue until you find and destroy the Evil One.
Can our group play together, and can we stop halfway?
Yes. One ticket covers your whole group, up to the number of devices stated, and you do not need to book a time. You can pause the hunt and pick it up later, which helps on a 2.4 km outdoor route.
