Where does the walk start and where does it finish?
It starts at Porta Capuana, the old city gate, and finishes at the Basilica Reale Pontificia San Francesco da Paola, beside the Royal Palace of Naples. It is not a loop, so you end up across the centre from where you began.
Does the route pass the Pappacoda chapel?
Yes. The Chapel of San Giovanni of the Pappacoda is the fifth stop, reached after the Duomo and San Lorenzo Maggiore and followed by Santa Maria La Nova. The app tells its story and sets a puzzle there before leading you on.
How long does it take and how far is the walk?
Most players take a little over two hours, walking and puzzles included, and the route covers 3.7 km. You can pause at any point and continue later, so a coffee stop or a longer look inside a church will not break the game.
Can we play as a couple or a group?
Yes. It is tagged as fun to do as a couple, and one ticket covers the whole group playing together. You follow the route and solve the puzzles side by side on a phone, with no guide and no other group to join.
