Over deze quest
Play a city game that will take you back to a Málaga of the XIX century, at a time when society was highly hierarchic and relationships between the locals and the gipsy communities were completely stranded.
Wander on the sunny streets as you search for your lost lover: a "gitana" princess who stole your heart away.
This story of forbidden love will take you through the most emblematic and hidden corners of the city, where you will find out all about the many cultures that flourished here.

Is dit iets voor jullie?
Voor wie het is
First-time visitors to Malaga, especially couples and families, see the port, Atarazanas Market, Constitution Square and the Alcazaba in one 3.5 km walk, linked by a 19th-century story of searching for a lost gitana princess. Plan on just over two hours in daylight, at your own pace. If you want a live guide to answer questions, or two hours on foot is too much for your party, pick something shorter.

Veelgestelde vragen
Is there an app for a self-guided walking route through central Malaga?
Yes. This quest is played on your phone. The app leads you from the Fisherman's Statue to the Alcazaba, tells the story of each place and sets a puzzle in what is in front of you. You start any time, with no guide and no group to join.
Does the route pass through Plaza de la Constitución?
Yes. Constitution Square is the seventh of twelve stops. You reach it after Atarazanas Indoor Market and Félix Sáenz Square, then continue to Bishop's Square, Santiago Church, the Obelisk to Torrijos, the Ibn Gabirol Statue and finally the Alcazaba.
Where does it start and finish, and how long does it take?
The walk starts at the Fisherman's Statue near the port and finishes at the Alcazaba, so it does not return to the start. It covers about 3.5 km and most players take just over two hours, walking and puzzles included. You can pause and continue later.
Is it good for families, and can we play as a group?
It is recommended for families, with a story of forbidden love and puzzles set at each stop. It suits children who can manage a 3.5 km walk of around two hours. One ticket covers the whole group playing together, and there is no time slot to book.
Want a romantic walk with a twist?
Play Highlights of Málaga around sunset. Chase clues through the oldest tavern, stand by the Alcazaba at golden hour, and follow the story of Juan and Rosalia—it’s love, mystery, and history mixed together.
Good for families and curious kids too?
Yes! Kids enjoy pretending to find Rosalia, looking for the Cenachero sculpture, or spotting hidden alleys. The path is walkable, breaks are easy to take, and the mix of drama + tradition keeps it fun.
Is this quest worth doing for a group hangout?
Totally. Split into pairs or small teams, compare clues, laugh over guesses, and explore together. Highlights of Málaga has enough puzzles and historic spots to keep a gang entertained for ~2-3 hours.
