Following in the footsteps of Juana Picazo, a real folk healer persecuted and arrested by the Inquisition, revisit beloved landmarks like the Plaza Mayor, the San Miguel Market, and the streets of La Latina, and help her escape before the guards realize she is gone.
This self-guided walking tour of Madrid's Old Town takes you through the darkest chapter of Spain's history, told through the eyes of a woman who lived it. One of the most historically immersive escape games in Madrid. Play it and you will never see the city the same way again.

Yes. This is a self-guided walk played on your phone. You follow Juana Picazo, a real folk healer arrested by the Inquisition, and help her escape before the guards realise she is gone. You start whenever you like, ideally during the day, with no guide or group to join.
Does Madrid have an old town, and does this walk go through it?
It does. The route crosses Madrid's Old Town, taking in Plaza de Oriente, Plaza Mayor, Mercado de San Miguel, Plaza de la Cruz Verde, Plaza Puerta de Moros and Plaza de la Cebada, then heads past San Francisco el Grande in the streets of La Latina.
Where does the quest start and finish?
It starts at the Inquisition Dungeons and finishes at Calle de la Ventosa, so it does not return to the start. The walk covers about 3.2 km through the Old Town and La Latina, with 13 stops in total.
How long does it take, and can we pause?
Most players take about two and a half hours, walking and puzzles included. You can pause at any point and continue later, so a coffee or lunch break along the way is easy. The quest is best played during the day.
Can we play as a group, and do we need to book a time?
One ticket covers the whole group playing together on one phone. There is no time slot to book: you begin at the Inquisition Dungeons whenever suits you and move from stop to stop at your own pace.
