The route includes the Museu Maçónico. The other stops are city landmarks where you look for symbols, including the Edifício dos Leões, the Edifício do Montepio, the Armazéns Grandella, the Arco da Rua Augusta and the statue of King José I.
Where does it start and how long does it take?
You start at Cais das Colunas, and the route loops back there at the end. The walk covers about 2.3 km through the Baixa, via Rossio and Rua Augusta, and takes around two hours. You can pause and continue later if you need a break.
Does the route pass Rossio Square and Praça do Comércio?
Yes, both are on the route. You visit Estação do Rossio and Praça do Rossio in the middle of the walk, then head down Rua Augusta and through its arch to Praça do Comércio and the statue of King José I before finishing at Cais das Colunas.
