Is there an app for the gold quest in Bucharest?
Yes. The quest is played on your phone in the Questo app. It leads you from place to place, tells the story of each one and sets a puzzle based on what is in front of you, so you can follow the legend of the gold heist without a guide.
Where does the walk start and finish?
It starts at the Bell and Clock Tower Silvestru and ends back there, making a loop. Along the way you pass the Romanian Athenaeum, the George Enescu statue, the Anglican Church, Icon Garden Park, the Central School National College, the Caragiale monument, Popa Chitu church and Casa Maura.
How long does it take and how far is it?
Plan on about 1.5 to 2 hours to cover the route of 2.3 km through central Bucharest. You can pause at any point, for a coffee or a longer break, and continue later from where you stopped.
Can we play as a group?
Yes. One ticket covers your whole group, up to the number of devices stated for the quest, so friends or a family can solve the puzzles together as they walk.
Do we need to book a time slot?
No. There is no fixed departure and no group to join. You start the quest whenever it suits you, walk at your own pace and can stop and pick it up again later.
