Yes. You play it on your phone and can start whenever you like, with no group to join and no guide to meet. It is best done during the day, so allow a little over three hours of daylight to enjoy the waterside views along the route.
Where does the walk start and finish?
It starts at The Lookout Lectern and finishes at the Llandoger Trow, so it is not a loop. In between you follow the water past the Old Clifton Rocks Railway, Underfall Yard, Bristol Marina, the SS Great Britain, Wapping Wharf and Arnolfini, covering about 4.9 km.
How long does it take, and can we pause?
Most players take a little over three hours, including walking and solving the puzzles. You can pause at any point, stop for a break at Wapping Wharf or elsewhere, and carry on later from where you left off.
Is it good for kids?
It is recommended for families, and the puzzles are set in what you can see around you, which keeps children involved. The route is about 4.9 km and takes over three hours, so it suits children who are happy walking that distance with breaks.
