Questions fréquemment posées
Is there a Holy Grail city game in Valencia?
Yes. This self-guided phone game follows the hunt for the chalice said to be the original Holy Grail through Valencia's old town. You follow encrypted messages and false leads, with puzzles set in the places in front of you, including the home of the Grail, Plaza Redonda and the Lonja de la Seda.
Where does the quest start and finish?
It starts at Serranos Towers and loops back there at the end, so you finish where you began. Along the way you pass San Martín, Plaza Redonda, the Lonja de la Seda and Plaza del Tossal, covering about 2.3 km on foot.
How long does it take, and can we pause?
Plan on about 1.5 to 2 hours at a relaxed pace. There is no time slot to book, so you start whenever you like, and you can pause the game and continue later if you stop for a meal or a break. One ticket covers your whole group.
Is it suitable for children?
It is tagged as family friendly, and the puzzles are medium difficulty. School-age children who enjoy codes and clues usually keep up well, while younger ones will need help from an adult to solve the encrypted messages along the route.
When is the best time to play?
The route is open around the clock and is easier to follow in daylight, though the game suggests after sunset for atmosphere. Note that the Market Hall on the route is closed on Sundays, so another day works better if you want to see it open.
