Where does the quest start and finish?
It starts at St. Angelo Bridge and finishes back there, so you end where you began. In between, the route takes in the Colosseum Square, the Arch of Constantine, the Emperor's Statue, Piazza Venezia, Tempio di Adriano, the Pantheon, Piazza Navona and Ponte Umberto I.
How long does the walk take and how far is it?
Plan on around 80 minutes of walking and puzzle solving over about 3.4 km. You can go at your own pace, and because you can pause and continue later, it is easy to stop for a coffee or a gelato between landmarks.
Is it good for kids?
Yes, it suits families. Children follow the emperor's story and help solve puzzles using clues at real landmarks, which works best for kids old enough to read clues and walk 3.4 km. Younger children can take part with an adult reading along.
Do we need to book a time, and can the whole group play together?
No time slot is needed: you start whenever you like, with no guide and no group to meet. You play on your phone, and one ticket covers your whole group, so friends or family can solve the puzzles together.
Is the quest outdoors, and what if it rains?
The route runs through Rome's streets, squares and bridges, so it is an outdoor walk and you should dress for the weather. If rain sets in, you can pause the quest and pick it up again later from where you stopped.
