Yes. This is a self-guided walk played on your phone. It traces the Templars from their hazy origins to their bitter end, covering their members, their practices and the controversies and misconceptions around the order. It also shows how Parisians have preserved the Templars' memory and introduces a lesser-known rival order that still exists.
Which Knights Templar places in Paris does the route visit?
The route passes Notre-Dame, Sainte-Chapelle, Pont Neuf, the Conciergerie, Tour Saint-Jacques, Église Saint-Merry and Maison Nicolas Flamel. It includes a stop about Jacques de Molay, then heads up Rue du Temple to Square du Temple - Elie Wiesel and Église Sainte-Élisabeth de Hongrie.
Where does the walk start and how long does it take?
It starts and finishes at Temple Metro Stop, so you end where you began. The loop is about 4.4 km and takes about an hour. Allow extra time if you like to linger at places such as Notre-Dame or Sainte-Chapelle along the way.
