Preguntas frecuentes
Is there an outdoor escape room in Laredo, TX?
Yes. This is an escape-room-style game played outdoors on your phone in downtown Laredo. The app leads you from place to place, tells the story of each spot and sets puzzles in what is in front of you, as you try to outsmart the witch in a story inspired by L. Frank Baum's 1900 Oz novel.
Is this like a scavenger hunt in Laredo?
In part. Clues lead you to each new location across 11 stops, including Jarvis Plaza, Laredo City Hall, the US District Court and the Webb County District Clerk's Office. At each stop you crack a puzzle using what you see around you, so it plays more like an escape room than a simple hunt.
Where does it start and how long does it take?
The game starts at 1 Jarvis Plaza in downtown Laredo. Most groups take around 90 minutes to cover the route, which is about 2.1 km on foot, so plan for an easy walk between puzzles at a relaxed pace.
Do we need to book a time slot, and can our group play together?
There is no booking slot: you start whenever you like, day or evening. One ticket covers your whole group, so friends, family or coworkers can team up to solve the puzzles together. You can also play solo and compete against the leaderboard.
Is it all outdoors, and what if it rains?
Yes, the whole game is played outside on the streets of downtown Laredo, so dress for the weather. If rain or heat gets in the way, you can pause the game at any point and continue later from where you stopped.
