Starting and ending at the Barbakan, this 3.2 km loop through Old Town passes the Wawel Dragon statue, the Town Hall Tower, Jan Matejko's house and Jama Michalika, playing a young artist out to impress Wyspianski. Friends, couples and families who like folklore and art get legends and puzzles instead of a lecture, in about 70 minutes. It is a daylight walk, so pick another for an evening out.

Is this a Krakow walking tour app or a game?
Both. It is a self-guided walk played on your phone. The app leads you from stop to stop, tells the story of each place and sets a puzzle based on what is in front of you. There is no guide and no group to join, so you start whenever you like.
Where does it start and how long does it take?
It starts and finishes at the Krakow Barbakan fortifications, so you end up back where you began. The route is about 3.2 km through the Old Town and takes a little over an hour, with stops including Saints Peter and Paul Church, the Town Hall Tower and the Adam Mickiewicz Monument.
Do we need to book a time, and can we play in the evening?
No booking slot is needed. You can start any time and pause to continue later, which helps if you stop for a coffee. The quest does recommend not playing at night, so plan to walk it during daylight hours.
