What is the Detective X game in Brussels?
It is a self-guided outdoor puzzle game played on your phone. You were due to meet Detective X about a kidnapper cloaked in black, but the detective vanishes first. You follow the kidnapper's clues through central Brussels, solving puzzles based on what is in front of you at each stop.
Does the route pass Manneken Pis and the Grand-Place?
Yes. Manneken Pis is one of the stops, reached after the Singer Statue, and the Grand-Place follows straight after it. The route also takes in the Musical Instruments Museum, the Magritte Museum, two churches around the Sablon, Mokafé Taverne and La Monnaie De Munt.
How long does it take and how far will we walk?
Plan for around an hour and a half and about 2.5 km on foot. You can pause the game and continue later, so there is time for a coffee or a longer look at a square without losing your progress in the story.
Can we play as a group, and do we need to book a time?
One ticket covers your whole group, up to the number of devices stated for the quest. There is no guide and no fixed departure, so you start whenever suits you and play at your own pace.
