You've been recruited by the Bureau of Otherworldly Observation, and Agent Howl is handing you your first case: a district full of the dead, and a file nobody has ever managed to close.
Thirteen stops. Thirteen things this city would rather you didn't look at too closely. Some of them are waiting for you.
The dead here were real people, and they remember what the plaques leave out. Ask the right questions and they'll tell you. Ask the wrong ones and you'll find out why the file is still open.

From the Old Treasury Building, this 2.7 km walk leads past the Old Melbourne Gaol, the Princess Theatre and the Pailou Archway, 13 stops where the dead tell what the plaques leave out. Couples, friends and adult groups who enjoy ghost stories and dark history can start whenever they choose. If you want a live guide to question, or are bringing children easily frightened by gaol stories, pick something gentler.

Where is the Princess Theatre in Melbourne?
The Princess Theatre is one of the 13 stops on this ghost walk. You reach it right after the Old Melbourne Magistrates' Court and just before the Pailou Archway, so it sits on the stretch of the route between the old gaol and court and the Chinese Australian sites.
Where does the ghost walk start and how far is it?
It starts at the Old Treasury Building and covers about 2.7 km across 13 stops, including the Melbourne City Baths, the Old Melbourne Gaol, the Num Pon Soon Building and State Library Victoria. The route passes the Old Treasury Building again near the end and finishes at the Stanford Fountain.
Do we need to book a start time, and can we pause?
No booking of a time slot is needed. Unlike a guided ghost walk with a fixed departure, you start whenever you like, evening included, and the app leads you from stop to stop. You can pause at any point and pick up the case again later.
Can our group play together on one ticket?
