The city feels older tonight. Heavier. Like something has been waiting a very long time for someone to come asking.
You've been recruited by the Bureau of Otherworldly Observation, and Agent Howl is handing you your first case: a district full of the dead, and a file nobody has ever managed to close.
Thirteen stops. Thirteen things this city would rather you didn't look at too closely. Some of them are waiting for you.
The dead here were real people, and they remember what the plaques leave out. Ask the right questions and they'll tell you. Ask the wrong ones and you'll find out why the file is still open.
Keep your phone torch handy. You'll want it. 🕯️

This 2.1 km loop through Southwark starts and ends at the Clink Prison Museum, passing Crossbones Graveyard, the Old Operating Theatre and Southwark Cathedral. Couples and friends who like ghost stories and dark history can play it as an evening walk, solving puzzles at their own pace. If you want a live guide to question, or have children likely to be upset by stories of real people's deaths, choose something else.

Where does the ghost walk start and finish?
It starts at The Clink Prison Museum and loops back there at the end, so you finish where you began. In between are 13 stops over about 2.1 km, including St George the Martyr, Crossbones Graveyard, the George Inn, Borough Market, the Golden Hinde and Southwark Cathedral.
Do we need to book a start time?
No. There is no set departure and no guide to meet. Open the quest on your phone whenever you are ready, early evening or later, and Agent Howl of the Bureau of Otherworldly Observation hands you the case so you can begin at your own pace.
Can our group play together on one ticket?
Yes. One ticket covers your whole group, up to the number of devices stated, so a couple or a group of friends can work through the same case together instead of paying per person, as you would on a guided ghost walk.
Can we pause and continue later?
Yes. You can stop at any point, perhaps for a drink at the George Inn or a look round Borough Market, and pick the case up again later from where you left off.
Is it outdoors, and what if it rains?
The walk is played outdoors as you move between the stops, so bring a coat and sensible shoes in wet weather. Because you can pause whenever you like, a heavy shower is a good moment to take a break and carry on once it clears.
