Despre acest quest
In 1888, a series of horrendous events shook the city of London.
Five brutal murders were committed, unsolved by the London Metropolitan Police, all the work of Jack the Ripper: an unidentified serial killer who terrorized the streets of Whitechapel but left behind almost no clues.
For more than 130 years, his identity has remained a mystery.
Now it is your turn to step into the shoes of an investigator reopening the Ripper files.
Follow the chilling trail through the streets of Whitechapel, from Artillery Lane to Mitre Square, uncovering hidden clues and piecing together the puzzle of one of the world's most notorious unsolved crimes.
Can you shed new light on the case? Or will you, too, get lost on the murderer's trail of darkness?
E pentru voi?
Pentru cine este
True-crime fans and groups of friends can walk the Ripper's Whitechapel and Spitalfields after dark without joining a big tour, playing investigators across about two hours and 2.7 km, from Christ Church Spitalfields and the Ten Bells to Mitre Square. The story centres on five brutal murders, so families with young children, or anyone who would rather not dwell on violent crime, should choose a lighter quest.

Întrebări frecvente
Is this a self-guided Jack the Ripper walking tour?
Yes. You play it on your phone with no guide and no group to join. The app leads you from stop to stop, tells the story of each place and sets a puzzle in what is in front of you. You can start whenever you like without booking a time, and pause and continue later.
Where in London was Jack the Ripper, and does the route go there?
The Ripper terrorised the streets of Whitechapel in 1888. The route follows his trail through Whitechapel and Spitalfields, passing Christ Church Spitalfields, the Ten Bells, Princelet Street, Hanbury Street, Brick Lane Mosque and Mitre Square before finishing at St Botoph Church.
Does the app cost money to play?
This quest is paid. One ticket covers the whole group playing together, so friends can share a single phone and follow the investigation as a team rather than each buying their own.
Where does it start and finish, and how long does it take?
It starts on Artillery Lane and finishes at St Botoph Church, so it does not end where it began. The route is 2.7 km and most players take about two hours, including walking and solving the puzzles. It is rated best at night.
Is it suitable for children?
The puzzles are rated medium difficulty and the story deals with five brutal murders, played after dark at its best. It suits adults and older children comfortable with a dark true-crime theme more than young kids, who may find both the subject and the puzzles heavy going.
