Perguntas frequentes
What is the Cinderella escape game in Washington D.C.?
It is a self-guided puzzle walk played on your phone. You help Cinderella break free from her stepmother and reach the royal ball before midnight by solving riddles, cracking codes and outsmarting the stepsisters across 12 stops in Georgetown. It covers about 2.3 km and takes around 90 minutes.
How is this different from a regular escape room?
You solve escape-room style riddles and codes, but outdoors on a walking route instead of in a locked room. There is no timed slot to book: you start whenever you like, play at your own pace and can pause and continue later.
Where does it start and where does the route go?
The walk starts at Pinstripes in Georgetown. From there it passes places such as the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal park on 30th St NW, Martin's Tavern, Christ Church, Fishmarket Square and Georgetown Baptist Church, covering about 2.3 km in total.
Is it good for kids, and what age?
It suits children of about 7 to 12 best, particularly those who love fairy tales and princesses. The riddles and codes are pitched for families solving together, so younger children will likely need an adult's help, and they should be comfortable walking for around 90 minutes.
Can we play as a group, and what if it rains?
Yes, one ticket covers your whole group, and you play together on your phone. The whole route is outdoors on Georgetown streets, so dress for the weather. Because you can pause and continue later, you can step inside to shelter and pick up where you left off.
