Where does the Oz escape game in Upland start?
It starts at the City of Upland stop. From there the app guides you to each location, including the Carnegie Library, the Olde Magnolia Tea Room, Fire Headquarters and the Upland Public Library. You begin whenever your group is ready.
How long does it take and how far will we walk?
Plan on around 90 minutes to cover about 2 km on foot. You can pause and continue later, so there is time to stop for coffee or pizza at one of the places on the route and pick up the story where you left off.
Do we need to book a time slot like an indoor escape room?
No. There is no slot to reserve. You start whenever you like and solve the puzzles at your own pace, either as a team working together or solo against the witch's challenges to compete on the leaderboard.
Is it suitable for kids?
Families with teens or older children who enjoy solving clues are a good match, since the puzzles reward teamwork and the story follows Baum's Oz novel. Younger children will need adults to lead, and the game is played entirely outdoors over about 2 km.
Can our whole group play on one ticket?
Yes, one ticket covers your whole group, so friends, families, couples and birthday or work groups can play together. Everyone follows the same story and works on the same puzzles as you move between the stops.
