An army is marching on Sibiu. You have days, perhaps less, before they reach the walls.
Your mission is to move through the medieval fortress from tower to tower and bastion to bastion, warning every craftsman, monk, and soldier who stands between the city and what is coming.
The carpenters must reinforce. The monks must ring. The bakers must prepare.
And somewhere in the armoury, the arsenal chief has something unusual in mind.
This is a walking quest through Sibiu's medieval defensive ring: along the great walls, through secret passages, past guild towers built by potters, carpenters, and archers, and into the squares where the city's history was decided.
The fortress of Sibiu has not fallen since 1241. You are here to keep it that way.

History lovers and fans of medieval fortresses get a siege story told along Sibiu's surviving walls, towers and bastions, warning carpenters, monks and bakers as an army closes in. Couples, friends and visitors with older children cover 3.3 km in around 90 minutes, solving puzzles set in the stonework. Anyone wanting an indoor outing, or unable to manage that walk around the old fortifications, should choose another quest.

What will I see in Sibiu on this walk?
The route follows the medieval defensive ring. Stops include Turnul Archebuzierilor, Turnul Dulgherilor, Turnul Olarilor, a stretch of the city wall, Bastionul Soldisch, Bastionul Haller, Cazarma Kempel, Casa Bobel, the Sibiu History Museum in Casa Altemberger and a contemporary art gallery.
Where does it start and how long does it take?
The quest starts at Turnul Olarilor. The walk is about 3.3 km and takes around 90 minutes, though you can go at your own pace. If you need a break for coffee or a rest, pause the quest on your phone and continue later from where you stopped.
Do we need to book a time, and can our group play together?
There is no time slot to book and no guide to meet, so you can start whenever suits you. You play on your phone, and one ticket covers your whole group, so friends or family can follow the story and solve the puzzles together.

Yes, the quest is played outdoors as you walk between towers, bastions and sections of the city wall. It is tagged as best during the day, when the walls and the details the puzzles rely on are easy to see. On a wet day, dress for the weather or pause and finish later.
