Perguntas frequentes
Is there an outdoor escape room game in downtown Rochester, MN?
Yes. This is an escape-room-style game played on your phone outdoors in downtown Rochester. You follow clues from Peace Plaza to stops such as Boy with Dolphin and Calvary Episcopal Church, solving puzzles at each place to outsmart the witch. You can start any time, with no booking slot needed.
What is the Oz game about?
The story is inspired by L. Frank Baum's original Oz novel from 1900. You join a team of misfits and try to outsmart the witch by cracking puzzles along the route. Original Oz-themed songs written for the game play in the app, and you can listen again on demand when you get home.
Where does it start and how long does it take?
It starts and finishes at Peace Plaza downtown, so you end up where you began. The route covers about 2 km on foot and takes around 90 minutes. You can pause at any point and continue later if you want a break for food or coffee.
Do we need to book a time, and can we play as a group?
There is no time slot to book; you start whenever suits you. Play with friends or family, and one ticket covers your whole group. If you prefer, you can also tackle the witch's challenges solo and compete against the leaderboard.
Is it played outdoors, and what if it rains?
The whole game is played outdoors, walking between real locations around downtown Rochester, so dress for the weather. Because there is no fixed start time and you can pause and continue later, you can wait out a shower or pick a drier day.
