Families with kids and comic book and film fans get a 3.6 km walk through Midtown, solving puzzles at spots tied to Spider-Man, Captain America, Iron Man and the Daily Planet, from Times Square to Grand Central Terminal, in around 45 minutes. Yes. Grand Central Terminal is one of the stops, near the end of the walk, after the New York Public Library and the Met Life Building. From there the route continues to the Chrysler Building and finishes at the News Building, all viewed from outside.
Where does it start, how long does it take, and do we need to book a time?
It starts at the Sharansky Steps in Ralph Bunche Park, across from the United Nations. The walk covers 3.6 km and takes around 45 minutes, longer if you linger. There is no set time to book: start whenever suits you, pause and pick it up later, and one ticket covers your whole group.
Is it good for kids?
It is tagged kid friendly, and the superhero stories and street puzzles suit school-age children who enjoy comics and films. Children under 12 should be guided by their parents, so plan to solve the puzzles together. Keep in mind the 3.6 km distance on foot through busy Midtown streets.
