Where does the mystery trail start and finish?
It starts at Lincoln Cathedral and finishes at Cornhill Quarter, so it does not end where it began. Along the way you pass Lincoln Castle, the Wig & Mitre, Temple Gardens, Lincoln Museum, Lincoln Guildhall, High Bridge, St Mary le Wigford Church and Lincoln Station.
How long does it take and how far will we walk?
Most players take around 90 minutes, including walking and solving the puzzles. The route covers about 1.9 km between the cathedral area and Cornhill Quarter, so allow a little extra if you like to linger at the stops.
Is it suitable for children?
It suits older children and teens best. The story follows a historical conspiracy about an old stone given a profitable new history, and the challenges ask you to examine photographs and question suspicious records, which younger children may find hard to follow.
Do we need to book a time or pay to play?
No. It is free to play and you can start whenever you like, with no group to join and no guide to meet. The app leads you from stop to stop on your phone, and you can pause and carry on later.
Can we play it together as a group?
