Through various puzzles, riddles, and fascinating information about the city, we aim to offer each participant a memorable experience, full of discoveries and good cheer. We want this evening to be not just a fun adventure, but also an opportunity to better understand the stories of Cluj, in an interactive and lively way. 

Every step you take, every riddle you solve, adds a new page to your own adventure through the spirit of the city.

This loop starts and ends at the Casino – Urban Culture Centre in central Cluj, passing the Pharmacy Museum, the House of Matthias Corvinus and the Tailors' Bastion. Families and couples get light riddles and short city stories over about 4.4 km, roughly 45 minutes on the move. If you want a guide to ask about the anti-communist memorials, or cannot comfortably walk that distance, choose another tour.

Is there a treasure hunt in Cluj-Napoca?
Yes. This self-guided game runs on your phone and takes you through central Cluj, setting riddles and puzzles at each stop along with short stories about the city. Stops include the Firefighters' Tower, the Metropolitan Cathedral, Babeș-Bolyai University and the Art Museum. You can start whenever you like.
Where does the game start, and what about the Casino?
The route starts and finishes at the Casino – Urban Culture Centre, so it is a loop and you end up back where you began. That makes it easy to plan your meeting point, parking or the rest of your day around a single spot in the city centre.
How long does it take and how far will we walk?
Plan for around 45 minutes of play over about 4.4 km, though your pace and time spent on riddles will change that. You can pause the game at any point, stop for a coffee or a museum visit, and carry on later from where you left off.
Is it good for kids?
It is tagged as family friendly and built around riddles and puzzles with fun facts about Cluj, so it suits children old enough to enjoy solving clues with their parents, roughly school age. Bring water, hats and sunscreen in warm weather, as the whole route is outdoors.
