Sobre esta experiência
Immerse yourself in the vibrant culture of Chicago’s Chinatown with this exciting walking tour and escape game.
Explore traditional and modern architecture, admire stunning Chinese American artwork, and uncover the most recommended local restaurants as you stroll the bustling streets. Your journey ends at a scenic 17-acre park along the Chicago River, offering beautiful views and the perfect conclusion to your adventure.
In this quest, the year is 1375, and China is in the grip of a severe drought. Armed with only a scroll of clues, you will explore the streets of Chinatown, searching for the hidden powers that can save the empire.
Perfect for culture lovers, adventurers, and puzzle solvers, this self-guided tour offers an engaging mix of exploration, history, and mystery in one of Chicago’s most unique neighborhoods.
É para si?
Para quem é
Families, friends and couples who want to explore Chicago's Chinatown at their own pace get about an hour of street puzzles and a story set in 1375 China, passing the Chinatown Gateway, the Nine Dragon Wall, murals, the Pui Tak Center and Ping Tom Memorial Park on the river. Everything happens outside the buildings, so anyone wanting a guided food tasting or time inside the museum should pick something else.

Perguntas frequentes
Is this like an escape room in Chinatown?
It is a walking tour and escape game combined, played outdoors on your phone. The app leads you from place to place, tells the story of each one and sets puzzles based on what you see around you. You do not go inside the places on the route; they are not part of the experience.
What will we see on this Chinatown scavenger hunt?
Stops include the Chinatown Gateway, the Nine Dragon Wall, the Chinatown Mural, the Pui Tak Center, the Chinese American Museum of Chicago, the Chinatown Branch library, St. Therese Chinese Catholic School, well-known restaurants like Qing Xiang Yuan Dumplings and Happy Lamb Hot Pot, and Ping Tom Memorial Park, a 17-acre park on the Chicago River.
Where does it start and how long does it take?
The quest starts at Chinatown Square Plaza. Plan on about an hour of play and a walk of roughly 2.8 km through the neighborhood's streets and along to the riverside park. You can go faster or slower, since there is no guide setting the pace.
Do we need to book a time, and can we play as a group?
No fixed time is needed: start whenever suits you, with no guide and no other groups joining. One ticket covers your whole group, playing together on your phones. If you want to stop for dumplings or a rest, you can pause the game and continue later.
