Explore medieval castle ruins, hidden symbols, old streets and forgotten stories while meeting composers, poets, publishers and unlikely heroes. Help Marta recover the pages and discover the manuscript’s biggest secret: who wrote it?

Chasing Marta's lost manuscript pages, you pass the castle ruins, St. John's Church and Maija Park, meeting composers, poets and the 1919 schoolboy soldiers along the way. Skip it if you want a live guide to quiz, or if 3.4 km over nearly two hours is too much walking.

Where does the walk start and finish?
It starts at Rose Square and runs as a loop of about 3.4 km through the town. You pass St. John's Church, Castle Square, Maija Park, Unity Square and the Concerthall, among other stops, before the final stop at Alfrēds Kalnins House.
How long does the quest take?
Most players take around 100 minutes, so plan for close to two hours including walking and solving the puzzles. You can go at your own pace, and stopping for a coffee along the way simply adds to that time.
Is it free, and can we play as a group?
Yes, it is free to play. Friends and families can walk it together, sharing the phone to follow Marta's story, read about each place and work out the puzzles set in the streets, parks and squares in front of you.
Do we need to book a time, and can we pause?
There is no time slot to book and no group to join. Start whenever you like at Rose Square, and if you need a break, pause the game and continue later from where you left off.
What kind of history does it cover?
The story spans more than 800 years of Cēsis history, from the medieval castle ruins to old streets and hidden symbols. Along the route you meet composers, poets, publishers and the schoolboys who went to war, while trying to find out who wrote the manuscript.
