Where does the quest start, and do we need to book a time?
The quest starts at Pancakes Amsterdam, then leads you through the old centre to stops such as Ons' Lieve Heer op Solder, the Oude Kerk and De Waag, finishing at the House of the ship. There is no set time slot, so you can begin whenever suits you.
How long does it take and how far do we walk?
Plan on about an hour to cover roughly 2.5 km and nine stops, including the Dutch East India Company headquarters, the Rembrandt house, Montelbaanstoren and the Weeping tower. You can pause at any point, stop for a break, and continue later from where you left off.
Is this Red Light District quest suitable for children?
It is played by day and built around a treasure hunt story, but the route does pass through the Red-Light District. The puzzles are rated medium difficulty, so it suits children of around 10 and up playing with adults better than younger kids.
Can we play as a group on one ticket?
Yes. One ticket covers your whole group, up to the number of devices stated for the quest. There is no guide or other group to join, so you solve the clues together on your phones and move through the old town at your own pace.
Can we do the quest by bike instead of walking?
Yes, the quest can be played while riding a bicycle, which makes the 2.5 km route between the old church, the canals and the old harbour towers quicker. You can still stop at each place to hear its story and solve the puzzle in front of you.

You find an old letter from your father who vanished at sea decades ago. He spoke of three magical diamonds, a shadowy Lady H, and hid clues in his favorite Amsterdam haunts. Now you follow his trail through canals, courtyards, and Rembrandt’s old paths to find out what really happened.
