Vanaf toen noemde hij zich Strick van Linschoten. In die tijd was Linschoten een bruisend dorp met veel winkels en bedrijven. Het gerucht gaat dat Johan eigenaar was van de grootste parel ter wereld, maar dat deze verloren gegaan is. Zou de parel zijn gestolen  of gewoon kwijtgeraakt? Je bent ontboden door de Schout van Linschoten. Vandaag is een mooie dag om de parel te zoeken.....

Who was Strick van Linschoten?
Johan Strick bought the lordship of Linschoten in 1628 for 8000 guilders from the Chapter of Oudmunster, today's Huis te Linschoten. From then on he called himself Strick van Linschoten. Rumour has it he owned the largest pearl in the world, which was lost. The walk sets you searching for it.
Where does the walk start and which places does it pass?
You start at Het Wapen Van Linschoten en Snelrewaard. The route then takes in places such as the Janskerk, the Koetshuis, the Wadende Vrouw, the cemetery, the Tolhuisje, the Slangenmuur, Boerderij Liefhoven, the Badhuis, a longhouse farm and Smederij Barneveld.
How long does it take and how far do you walk?
Plan on about an hour for a walk of around 1.2 km through the village. You can pause the game and continue later, so there is no need to rush if the children want a break along the way.
