Where does the Heidelberg detective game start and finish?
It starts at Heidelberg University Library and loops back there at the end. Along the way you pass Gasthaus Zum Roten Ochsen, Karlsplatz, Kornmarkt, the Marktplatz, the Old Bridge and its gate, Hotel Zum Ritter St. Georg, the Jesuitenkirche and the Alte Universität.
How long does the walk take and how far is it?
Plan on about 50 minutes to walk around 1.5 km through the old town while solving the clues. You can pause the game at any point and pick it up again later, so a coffee stop or a longer look at a square will not cost you progress.
Does the route go through Kornmarkt?
Yes. Kornmarkt is one of the stops, reached after Karlsplatz and just before the Heidelberger Marktplatz. The app guides you there from stop to stop, so you do not need to look it up on a map yourself, and it sets a clue based on what you see on the square.
What will I see in Heidelberg on this walk?
The story takes you past the university prison, churches including the Jesuitenkirche, historic squares such as Karlsplatz, Kornmarkt and the Marktplatz, the Old Bridge and its gate, and spots with views of the castle. At each stop the app tells you about the place and sets a puzzle in it.
