Stradun is Dubrovnik's main street, a straight run of limestone polished to a shine by centuries of feet, between the two city gates. It floods with day-trippers by mid-morning and empties again in the evening.

Onofrie's fountain 

The Ploče Gate is the eastern entrance to Dubrovnik's old town, reached by a stone bridge over the former moat and guarded by a separate fort beyond. It is markedly quieter than the Pile Gate at the other end.
