Where does the Naples legends walk start and finish?
The quest starts at Porta Capuana and ends there too, with the entrance to Castel Capuano as the last stop before it. Because the route is a loop, you finish where you began, which makes getting back to your transport or accommodation simple.
Does the route pass the Pappacoda chapel?
Yes. The Chapel of San Giovanni of the Pappacoda is one of the stops, reached after Santa Maria La Nova and before San Lorenzo Maggiore. The app tells the story of each place on the route and sets a puzzle based on what you see in front of you.
How long does it take and how far will we walk?
Plan on around 90 minutes for the walk, covering about 3.7 km through the oldest parts of the centre. The 12 stops include the Royal Palace of Naples, Galleria Umberto I, Castel Nuovo, the Fontana del Nettuno and the Duomo. You can pause and pick it up later if you need a break.
Can we do it in the evening?
It is recommended not to play at night. The route runs outdoors through city streets and relies on spotting details at each place to solve the puzzles, so daylight hours work best. Since there is no booked time slot, you can simply start whenever suits you during the day.
Do we need to book a time, and can we play as a group?
No booking of a time slot is needed: you start whenever you like on your phone, with no guide or other group to meet. One ticket covers your whole group, up to the number of devices stated, and you can pause the quest and continue later.
