Is there an outdoor escape room in Kenosha?
Yes. This is an escape-room-style game played on your phone through downtown Kenosha. Instead of a locked room, you follow clues between real places such as the Dinosaur Discovery Museum, Saint James Roman Catholic Church and the Orpheum Theater Building, cracking puzzles to outsmart the witch.
Where does the game start and finish?
It is a loop of about 2 km that starts and ends at Civic Center Park. In between you pass stops including Reuther Central High School, Simmons Neighborhood Library at Library Park, the Orpheum Theater Building, Tavern on 6th and The Vault at Historic 625/Authentique.
How long does it take?
Most players take around an hour and a half, walking and puzzles included. There is no need to finish in one go: you can pause the game whenever you like and pick it up again later from where you stopped.
Can we play as a group, and do we need to book a time slot?
One ticket covers the whole group playing together, so friends, families or work groups can solve the puzzles side by side. There is no booking slot and no guide to meet. Start any time you like, or play solo and compete on the leaderboard.
What is the story based on?
The narrative is inspired by L. Frank Baum's original Oz novel from 1900. You team up with a band of misfits to outwit the witch, and the game includes original Oz-themed songs written for it, which you can listen to in the app and again at home.
