Over deze quest
Dublin, Ireland. A peaceful morning. Just you, your garden, and a hot cup of coffee... until an alien spaceship crashes into your rose bushes. Out steps Borty, a bug-eyed, fly-like creature in a spacesuit, begging you to guide him to the Teeling Whiskey factory. Why? He won't say. But time is ticking.
Join this hilarious self-guided walking tour of Dublin's Old Town as you escort an alien through St Patrick's Cathedral, the Guinness Storehouse, Kilmainham Gaol, and the winding streets of The Liberties. Borty needs Dublin trivia for an intergalactic pub quiz. The stakes, apparently, are life and death.
One of the most unique things to do in Dublin, this Dublin city walking tour wraps real history, hidden landmarks, and genuine local charm around the most unexpected guide you'll ever meet.
Is dit iets voor jullie?
Voor wie het is
Friends, comedy fans and families with teenagers get a silly story to carry them between Kilmainham Gaol, the Guinness Storehouse and St Patrick's Cathedral: you escort Borty, a fly-like alien, on a 4.1 km loop of about 75 minutes with medium-level puzzles along the way. If you want a serious history tour with a guide to question, or are walking with small children, choose another walk.

Veelgestelde vragen
Is this quest good for teenagers?
Yes, families with teenagers are one of the groups it suits best. The story is comic, with an alien called Borty who needs your help, and the puzzles are medium difficulty and drawn from what you see at each stop. Younger children may find the puzzles and the 4.1 km walk harder going.
How far is the walk and how long does it take?
The route covers about 4.1 km and takes around 75 minutes at a relaxed pace. It passes Kilmainham Gaol, the Irish Museum of Modern Art, the Guinness Storehouse, the Old Dublin City Wall and Saint Patrick's Cathedral. You can pause at any point and continue later.
Is it an outdoor activity, and what happens if it rains?
Yes, it is played outdoors as you walk the streets of Dublin's Old Town from place to place. In wet weather, dress for the rain. Because you can pause the game and pick it up later, you can step out of a shower and carry on when it clears.
Where does it start, and do we need to book a time?
It starts at Teeling Whiskey Distillery and finishes back there, so it works as a loop. There is no set departure time and no guide to meet. You start whenever you like on your phone, and the app leads you from stop to stop.
Can we play as a group?
Yes. There is no group to join and one ticket covers your whole group, up to the number of devices stated for the quest. Friends or family can walk together, read the story at each stop and work on the puzzles as a team.
