Qualche risposta prima di partire
Domande frequenti
Is this an escape room in Indy?
It is an escape-room-style game played outdoors on your phone around Mass Ave rather than in a locked room. You solve puzzles using the places in front of you while a story inspired by L. Frank Baum's 1900 Oz novel unfolds, with original Oz-themed songs in the app.
Is it an event with a set date, or do we need to book a time slot?
There is no fixed date and no time slot to book. You start whenever suits you, with no group to join and no guide to wait for. If you need a break, you can pause the game and continue later.
Where does the game start and finish?
It starts at the bike parking near the Indianapolis Fire Fighters Museum on Massachusetts Ave and loops along Mass Ave past Livery, St. Joseph Brewery, Nine Irish Brothers and the Murat Theatre, finishing at Firefighters Credit Union, back near where you began.
How long does it take and how far is the walk?
Most players take around 100 minutes, a little under two hours, including walking and solving puzzles. The route covers 2.2 km on foot through the Mass Ave area, and the whole game is played outdoors.
Can we play as a group?
Yes. One ticket covers the whole group playing together, so friends, families, couples or birthday and work groups can work through the puzzles side by side. If you prefer to play alone, you can take on the challenges solo and compete on the leaderboard.
Looking to escape the ordinary in Indy?
Yep.The Oz Escape flips downtown Indy into a fantasy chase—solving puzzles, discovering murals, walking from Massachusetts Ave to fire stations. It’s like following a fairy tale through city streets, not just ticking off landmarks.
Is this good for a date with some magic and competition?
Absolutely. Solve Oz-themed riddles together, laugh over tricky clues, then maybe race each other to the finish. Twilight on Mass Ave adds a glow, and after you can celebrate at a nearby café or rooftop bar.
Will kids enjoy this journey through Oz?
For sure. The story is whimsical, not scary; puzzles are accessible. Kids will love the fantasy elements, the songs, colorful clues. And since it's only ~2.2 km, you can stop a lot for snacks, fountains, or photos.
