Questions fréquemment posées

What’s the story here?

It’s 1580. You’re a weaver from the Low Countries—“The Strangers”—who’s just arrived in Norwich. With a note in your pocket and voices calling you from dark alleys, you need to navigate the city’s winding medieval streets, solve puzzles, and make it safely to Strangers’ Hall.

How long will this adventure take, and how much walking?

Expect to spend ~85–115 minutes, walking about 3.2 km (~4,200 steps). Enough time to soak up the history without feeling rushed.

Is it good for a date?

Absolutely. The setting is atmospheric—old streets, candlelike lamps (in photos at least), hidden passages. It’s one of those walks you’ll remember together.

How about for friends or exploring with a pal?

Perfect. Share the clues, tease each other when someone misses a step, compare theories. It’s fun, social, and keeps you moving through scenic and historic spots.

Is it family-friendly? Can kids do it?

Yes to older kids who like mystery and stories. The riddles are clever but reasonable. Might be tricky with very young ones, especially later in the day.

Do I need any guide or someone to meet with at the start?

Nope. You just show up at “The Halls, St Andrew’s Plain” to start. Everything’s self-guided—clues, map, puzzles—all on your phone.
