Yes. It starts at Piazza della Suburra and winds through the Monti streets that grew out of ancient Suburra, including Piazza della Madonna dei Monti, Via Baccina and the Arco dei Pantani, before heading to the Imperial Forums and the Colosseum.
Who is the empress in the story?
The story follows Valeria Messalina, the Roman empress remembered as a temptress and one of the city's most whispered-about figures. You play Giulia, a young archaeologist in 2021 who descends from her, and you trace her footsteps through clues set in marble and beside old arches.
Where does it start and finish, and how long does it take?
It starts at Piazza della Suburra and finishes at Santa Maria ai Monti, a loop back in Monti. The route covers about 3.2 km, and most players take around two hours including walking and puzzles. It is best played during the day.
Can we play as a group?
Yes. One ticket covers the whole group playing together, so friends or family can follow the clues side by side on the same game and work through the riddles as a team.
Do we need to book a time, and can we pause?
