All roads lead to Rome. But roads work both ways. Augustus knew that better than anyone. While the world was busy marching toward Rome, he was quietly moving his most dangerous secrets out. He needed a place to hide the Imperial Regalia and he chose this city to keep them safe.
This wasn't some random choice; it was a calculated move. He left the location with one man, who encoded the map across landmarks using symbols carved into the city's oldest stones. Those marks are still there, hiding in plain sight while you grab your morning coffee or walk to work.
You receive the first clue from a source who refuses to identify themselves. The greatest personal treasury ever assembled is waiting for someone with the right eyes to find it. Are you ready to claim what Augustus left behind?

Where does the treasure hunt start and finish?
It starts and ends at Place de la Contrescarpe, so the route is a loop. Along the way you pass the Fontaine Wallace, the Bibliothèque Sainte-Geneviève, the Louve Capitoline, the Musée de Cluny, the Arènes de Lutèce and Rue Rollin, finishing at Hemingway's former apartment before returning to the square.
How long does it take and how far is the walk?
Most players take close to two hours, around 110 minutes including walking and solving puzzles. The route covers about 2.7 km through the 5th arrondissement. You set your own pace, so you can linger at a stop or stop for a coffee along the way.
Is it suitable for children?
It works best for older children and teens who can follow a story about Augustus and decode symbols in the landmarks around them. Younger children may find the puzzles and the walk of nearly two hours hard going.
Can we play as a group?
Yes. One ticket covers the whole group playing together on the route. Friends, couples and families can gather around one phone, read the story at each stop and work out the clues as a team.
Do we need to book a time, and can we pause?
There is no time slot to book and no group or guide to meet. You start whenever you like at Place de la Contrescarpe, and you can pause the game and continue later from where you left off.
