Parents and grandparents with children who love a treasure hunt can follow Dunya Dune through the centre of Harderwijk in search of a long lost silver treasure, solving riddles at stops such as the Vanghentoren and the Hanseatic Horse. The 1.9 km trail takes about two hours, all outdoors. Families with toddlers who tire quickly, or anyone wanting a live guide to explain the town's history, should pick something else.

Where does the pirate treasure hunt in Harderwijk start and finish?
It starts at The Cannon and finishes at Leaving the town, so it does not end where it began. Along the way you pass stops including The Treasure Map, Ostriches, the Vanghentoren, the Hanseatic Horse and Beach Island before reaching The Silver Treasure.
How long does the treasure hunt take?
Most players take about two hours, including walking and solving the puzzles. The route covers 1.9 km through Harderwijk, and you can go at your own pace because there is no guide or fixed group to keep up with.
Is it good for kids?
Yes, it is family friendly, with riddles and puzzles you solve in the real world while hunting for a silver treasure. Younger children will enjoy it most with an adult helping on the riddles. Keep in mind it is about two hours of walking.
