Is this a Cambridge ghost tour?
It is a self-guided ghost walk played on your phone. The app leads you between ten stops, tells the haunted history of each place and sets a puzzle in what is in front of you. There is no guide and no group to join, and it is best played during the day.
Where does the ghost walk start and finish?
It starts at the Mathematical Bridge and finishes at the Cambridge Union, so it does not end where it began. On the way you pass St Botolph's Church, the Fitzwilliam Museum, Hobson's Conduit, the Polar Museum, Reality Checkpoint, Emmanuel College, the Rose Garden on Christ's Pieces and Jesus College.
How long does it take and how far is it?
Most players take just over two hours, including walking and solving the puzzles. The route covers about 3.3 km through the city, and you can pause the quest and continue later if you want a break along the way.
Do we need to book a time, and can we play as a group?
There is no time slot to book: you start whenever you like. One ticket covers the whole group playing together, so friends or family can follow the story and solve the puzzles side by side on one phone.
