Guinness Storehouse, Dublin — Guia do visitante e o que fazer por perto
Sobre Guinness Storehouse
The Guinness Storehouse at St. James's Gate Brewery has welcomed over twenty million visitors since opening on December 2, 2000, making it one of Ireland's most popular attractions and a pilgrimage site for beer lovers worldwide.
The building itself is extraordinary. Seven floors surround a glass atrium shaped like a giant pint of Guinness, rising through the center of the structure. Each floor tells a different part of the Guinness story through interactive displays covering ingredients, the brewing process, transport, cooperage (barrel-making), and the brand's legendary advertising campaigns.
The real highlight waits on the seventh floor: the Gravity Bar, with its 360-degree panoramic views of Dublin. Visitors can enjoy a pint of Guinness included with most admission tickets while looking out over the city that Arthur Guinness made synonymous with dark beer.
For those who want to go deeper, the Perfect Pint bar teaches visitors how to pour the ideal Guinness, complete with a selfie printed on the foam. The Brewery Bar on the fifth floor serves Irish cuisine that incorporates Guinness into dishes and pairings.
Arthur Guinness signed the lease for St. James's Gate in 1759 for 9,000 years at 45 pounds per year, a deal that remains one of the most optimistic business decisions in history. The brewery has operated continuously on this site ever since.
A Questo quest through Dublin can build the anticipation before you arrive at the Storehouse, connecting the brewery district to the wider story of how beer shaped Dublin's economy, culture, and identity.
