Lately I got bug reports on my games that states: 'That makes no sense', 'I cannot find clues' (or even one-star reviews: "This game had a lot of Skill issue[...] Very negative review 👎 [...] Unbearable game 😭😭😭"). I think there should be a way that the player knows what difficulty a game is (beginner-intermediate-advanced / lighthearted fun to highly challenging / star-based) and/or what type of skill is needed: (observational / math / general knowledge / etc.).

I have had some reviews saying the game was too easy. I have decided to make it easy on purpose as I expect most players to be tourists, and therefore casual players, and not people who are into gaming.

A simple 3 star system like the Unlock game series would probably cover it

We agree - this would be a good addition.

Good idea, recently received a bad review because the player found the assignment too difficult. If the player knows in advance where they stand, they can choose whether or not to play.

I think you are right. Personally I like games that are challenging

Discoverer: This is the easiest level and is recommended for novice players.
Explorer: This level is recommended for the occasional player who wants an interesting game, but doesn’t want too difficult a challenge.
Conquistador: This level is recommended for those who are experienced with Questo and who like a challenging game experience.
Governor: Skilled players will generally like this level the best; it is a strong challenge, and success is never guaranteed.
Viceroy: This is the most difficult level at which to play. You can win if you are very skilled, have lots of experience, and make few mistakes. This level can be won, but not consistently - Team Skittya year ago
Ideas for game difficulty types:
- Discoverer / Explorer / Conquistador / Governor / Viceroy (Sid Meier's Colonization)
- Apprentice / Journeyman / Adventurer / Rogue / Swashbuckler (Sid Meiers Pirates)
- Breezin' / Cruisin' / Sweatin' / Hard Rock! (Elite Beat Agents)
- Tourist / Easy / Medium / Hard / Serious / Mental (Serious Sam)
- Novice (They won't hurt you... much) Average (They know how to kill) Experienced (Don't get cocky) Skilled (You think you're tough?) Adept (You'd better be good) Masterful (I hope you like to respawn) Inhuman (You are already dead) Godlike (I am the Alpha and the Omega) - Unreal Tournament
