Yes. It is a self-guided story puzzle played on your phone, leading you through Omotesando, Meiji Jingu, Harajuku and Shibuya. You solve interactive puzzles in what is in front of you, and it is free to play, so you can simply start whenever you are ready.
Where does the quest start and finish?
It starts at Omotesando Station Exit A3 and finishes at Shibuya Scramble Square, so it does not return to the start. Along the way you pass Omotesando Hills, Meiji Jingu, Harajuku Station, a ride on the JR Yamanote Line to Shibuya, the Scramble Crossing, Center-gai and Shibuya 109.
How long does it take, and when should we go?
Most players take about 2.5 hours for the 5.1 km route, walking and puzzles included. Late afternoon works best, as the city changes into evening and the final view above Tokyo is worth the wait. A relaxed pace leaves time for cafés, shrine detours, shopping and photos.
Do we need to book a time, and can we pause?
No booking is needed. You can start any time, with no group to join and no guide to meet. If you stop for coffee, shopping or a longer look around Meiji Jingu, you can pause the quest and continue later from where you left off.
