It is a self-guided story game on your phone rather than a guided tour. You arrive in Old Town to claim the inheritance of a great uncle who was an alchemist and seeker of truth. You follow his strange letter and riddles through winding alleys and arcane landmarks, and decide whether he was onto something or simply mad.
Where does the Old Town game start and finish?
It starts and ends at Palác Platýz, so you finish where you began. In between, the route takes in Charles Bridge, the Old-New Synagogue, Old Town Square, the House at the Two Golden Bears, Ann's Square and the Bethlehem Chapel, covering about 5.2 km on foot.
How long does it take, and can we take a break?
Allow about two hours to walk the route and solve the puzzles along the way. You can pause whenever you like, stop for a coffee or a meal, and continue later from where you left off. It is best played during the day.
Is it suitable for children?
It is recommended as a family activity. The puzzles are set in what is in front of you, so children who enjoy spotting details and solving riddles can join in. Keep in mind the route is about 5.2 km, so young walkers may need breaks, which the pause option allows.
