Domande frequenti
What can I do in downtown Phoenix today without booking anything?
You can start this self-guided mystery walk whenever you like, with no time slot to book and no group to join. The app leads you through downtown Phoenix with Ken Clever, a traveling private detective, telling the story of each landmark and setting a puzzle at every stop.
Where does the quest start and finish?
It starts at the Arizona Science Center and finishes at Civic Space Park, so it is not a loop. Along the way you pass Rosson House, St. Mary's Basilica, the Herberger Theater, the Phoenix Convention Center, the Welcome to Arizona Mural, CityScape, the Old Maricopa Courthouse and the Orpheum Theater.
How long does it take and how far is the walk?
Most players take a little under two hours, about 100 minutes including walking and solving the puzzles. The route covers 2.6 km through downtown. You can pause at any point, for example to cool off or grab a coffee, and continue later from where you stopped.
Is it suitable for kids?
The puzzles are rated easy, so teens can play comfortably. The quest is not recommended for young children or elderly people because of the Phoenix heat. Whoever comes along should wear a hat and sunscreen and carry enough water for the whole walk.
Can we play as a group?
Yes. One ticket covers the whole group playing together on the route, so friends or family can solve the mystery side by side. There is no guide and no set departure, so your group simply starts at the Arizona Science Center when everyone is ready.
