Domande frequenti
Is there a scavenger hunt for kids in downtown Cincinnati?
Yes. This self-guided gem hunt is played on a phone and runs through downtown Cincinnati. Children follow the story of Bunny and Felix the fox, solving puzzles at 11 stops including the William Henry Harrison Statue, Piatt Park, the public library and Court Street Plaza.
Where does the hunt start and finish?
It starts and ends at Cincinnati City Hall, so it is a loop of about 2.4 km. Along the way you pass the William Henry Harrison Statue, Piatt Park, the library, Court Street Plaza, the county courthouse, local murals, the YWCA and Hello Honey before heading back.
How long does it take, and what age is it best for?
Most families take around an hour and three quarters, walking and puzzles included. The story and gem-hunting puzzles are aimed at children aged roughly 5 to 12. Younger children may tire on the 2.4 km walk, so plan for breaks.
Do I have to plan or set up the scavenger hunt myself?
No. The app leads you from place to place, tells the story at each stop and sets a puzzle based on what is in front of you. There is nothing to print or hide, no guide to meet, and you can start any time, pause and continue later.
Can the whole family or a class play together?
Yes. One ticket covers the whole group playing together, so parents, grandparents and children can follow the hunt as one team. There is no time slot to book, which suits visiting relatives as well as teachers and camp leaders planning a kids' outing.
