Domande frequenti
What is the fox quest about?
Bunny has hidden colorful gems for the annual Gem Hunt, but Felix, a mischievous fox, has stolen the basket and scattered the gems in tricky spots. Children follow the story from place to place, solving a puzzle at each stop to track down the gems and outsmart Felix.
Is this a guided scavenger hunt tour of Chicago?
No, it is self-guided and played on a phone. The app leads you from stop to stop, tells the story and sets the puzzles, so there is no guide and no group to join. You can start whenever you like and pause to continue later.
Where does it start and finish, and how long does it take?
The hunt starts at the DePaul University School of Music and finishes at the Oz Park Basketball Court, so it does not end where it began. It covers about 2.4 km over 12 stops, and families typically take around 1 hour 45 minutes, including walking and puzzles.
What age is it suited to, and can we play as a family group?
The story and gem puzzles are designed for children aged about 5 to 12, playing alongside parents, grandparents or group leaders. One ticket covers the whole group playing together, so a family can follow the hunt on a single phone.
Is it an outdoor adventure, and what if it rains?
Yes, the whole hunt is outdoors, following the streets around Halsted Street and finishing in Oz Park. There is no indoor section, so dress for the weather. If it starts to rain, you can pause the game and continue later.
