Is this quest outdoors, and can you go inside along the way around the Grand-Place?
The quest is a walk through the streets and squares around the Grand-Place, so most of it is outdoors. If the weather turns cold, you can pause the game and step inside to warm up at almost any location on the route, then continue when you are ready.
How does the tour app work?
You play on your phone. The app leads you from place to place, tells the story of each spot and sets a puzzle based on what is in front of you. There is no guide and no group to join, so you start whenever you like and move at your own pace.
Does the route pass Manneken Pis?
Yes. Manneken Pis is one of the stops, along with Rue de la Cigogne, the Béguinage church of Saint John the Baptist, the Black Tower, Le Cygne, the Hôtel de Ville, the Maison du Roi, the Maison du Pigeon and Neuhaus.
Where does it start and how long does it take?
The walk starts and finishes at the Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert, so you end up back where you began. It covers about 2.4 km and takes about an hour, though you can take longer if you stop to look around or warm up.
Do we need to book a time, and can we pause?
There is no time slot to book: start whenever suits you and pause to continue later. We recommend playing in daylight rather than at night, and note that some checkpoints may have temporary construction work.
